Caroline County is a rural county located on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Named after Lady Caroline Eden the wife of Maryland's last colonial governor, Robert Eden. With over 5,000 parkland and wildlife preserves, miles of trails for hiking, cycling or canoeing for visitors. In Denton there is the Museum of Rural Life tell the stories of people living in a totally agriculture-based economy. Caroline Summerfest is held annually the third weekend of August.
