Downhill Skiing, Cross Country Skiing in Maryland
Maryland's winters are mild so there is only one downhill ski area. You will find several downhill ski
areas just across the Pennsylvania border in the Laurel Highlands south of Pittsburgh and north of
Hagerstown.
Herrington Manor State Park offers cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. Also nearby is New Germany State
Park with cross country trails.
