The Ward World Championship Wildfowl Carving Competitions have been held in Salisbury since 1970. Salisbury
also hosts events during the Dogwood Festival the last week of April and the first week in May. A must see is
the Mid-Atlantic Maritime Arts Festival on the grounds of the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum in St.
Michaels featuring ship models, maritime paintings, crafts, music, seafood and more. In August
Ocean City host the White Marlin Open with cash prizes to winners.
