Delaware Division of Fish & Wildlife
Delaware requires a fishing license to fish in the non-tidal waters, which include waters include lakes, ponds, impoundments and streams where the tides do not occur. You can get the fishing license from the Dover Delaware office or from many sporting goods and hardware stores that are licensed agents. Residents of Delaware who is 16 or older, but less than 65, are required to have a license to fish in non-tidal waters. The exemptions from fishing license requirements can be found in the Delaware Code.
